jpnn.comSEMARANG – The Central Java Provincial Government (Pemprov Jateng) will immediately follow up on Government Regulation (PP) 28 of 2024 concerning the Implementation of the Health Law (UU) which is currently causing controversy.
The controversy over PP 28 of 2024, which was signed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the end of July 2024, is because Article 103 Paragraph (4) of PP Number 28 of 2024 regulates the provision of contraceptives for students and teenagers.
Head of the Central Java Provincial Health Service (Dinkes) Yunita Dyah Suminar stated that she is still waiting for implementing regulations from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).
“PP 28, the derivative of Permenkes (Minister of Health Regulation, ed.), we’ll wait,” said Yunita to JPNN.com via messaging service, Tuesday (13/8).
From the Permenkes, it will then be lowered into a regional regulation (Perda). Only then will each region adjust the implementation of the technical provisions regulated in the Perda.
“In principle, we refer to the applicable regulations,” said Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division of the Central Java Provincial Health Office, Irma Makiah.
Furthermore, the regulation will be adjusted to the Regional Work Unit within the Central Java Provincial Government. No exception in all schools in Central Java.
“We will support what is within our authority. Waiting for the coordination invitation,” said the Head of the Central Java Province Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) Uswatun Hasanah to JPNN.com.
The Central Java Provincial Government is still waiting for the Ministerial Regulation as a derivative of PP 28 of 2024 which regulates the provision of contraceptives for students.
