Contract for the control of vegetation on metric and conventional gauge lines
Adif will put out to tender the framework agreement for vegetation control services on the platform and the margins of conventional and metric gauge lines, on general, secondary and siding roads in railway logistics terminals and passenger stations.

With an estimated value of 118.7 million euros and a duration of twenty-four months, the contract is divided into six lots, in the Northwest, North, Northeast, East, Center and South geographic areas, to prevent the negative effects that the vegetation causes in the infrastructure, facilities and railway circulations and minimize fire risks.
The planned actions will keep the sidewalk and transition areas of the platform free of vegetation. The treatment on the margins will include the carrying out of preventive forestry that includes felling, felling, pruning, clearing and herbicide treatments, aimed at controlling the vegetation in the areas of walks and margins and railway facilities: stations, substations, telecommunications parks, lines of high voltage and fiber optic line.
