Contracts of 24 officials who were appointed on contractual basis in various departments and organizations during the previous Awami League government have been cancelled.
Their contracts were canceled in a notification by the Public Affairs Ministry’s Contracts and Foreign Recruitment Wing on Tuesday (September 3).
Under the order of the President, the notification signed by Deputy Secretary Kaniz Fatema said, “The remaining term of the contractual appointment of the following officers has been canceled as per the terms of the contract executed with the government.” The notification also mentions that this order will be effective immediately in public interest.
Among the officials who have lost their jobs are the ambassador of Bangladesh in Germany.
