Chennai: The Indian Department of Medicine and Homeopathy has issued a notice to Siddha doctor Sharmika for her controversial medical comments.
Sharmika, a Siddha doctor from Chennai, is famous for sharing Siddha medicine ‘tips’ on social media. Some of his recent tips have created controversy. In particular, eating one ‘Globe Jamun’ can lead to weight gain of three kilos. Breast cancer can be caused by defecating. He gave medical opinions like, ‘If you eat eight grains every day, your breasts will look beautiful’. These caused controversy.
In this case, a complaint has been filed against Dr. Sharmika, who is talking about things that are not in the medical record. Based on that, the Department of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy has issued a notice seeking an explanation from him. In this regard, Department Director Ganesh says, “Sharmika has been given a notice to appear within 15 days for speaking about things that are not in the medical note.
As he is a registered doctor, based on the explanation, what kind of action will be taken against him will be decided. People should consult a doctor for their physical problems. “Don’t follow comments on YouTube.”
