The Malaysian government has conveyed its objection to the Indian ambassador regarding the controversial speech on the Prophet.

A statement from the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “We welcome the action taken by the party against anyone who slanders the Prophet.”

Nonetheless, the Malaysian government is ready to work hand in hand with the Indian government to drop the anti-Islamic sentiment, saying it should stop speaking in a hateful manner to emphasize peace and stability.

The ruling BJP has condemned the move, which has drawn condemnation from Islamic countries, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iran, Pakistan and Indonesia. The state is believed to have caused a headwind internationally.
