New Delhi – US billionaire George Soares said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have to answer the questions raised by foreign investors in Parliament and on the Adani Group issue. The BJP came out with criticism against the remarks made by Soares in his speech at the Munich Security Conference on Thursday.

Soares also said that the Adani controversy will weaken the Narendra Modi government. ‘Modi and Adani are close partners; Their fates are intertwined. Adani has been accused of irregularities in the stock market. His stock fell like a house of cards. Modi is silent on this issue; But he will have to answer questions from foreign investors and from Parliament.
“This controversy will weaken the Modi government and open the door to necessary governance reforms. I also hope that there will be a democratic revival in India.’

Ninety-two-year-old stock investor Soares’ 42-minute long speech spoke about closed and open societies in India. “India is a democracy. But its leader Narendra Modi is not a democrat’ – said Soares.
This is an attack not only against Narendra Modi but also against Indian democracy – BJP responded. The move is to destroy Modi and allow those who are interested in Soras to rule here. Union Minister Smriti Irani asked all parties to come forward against Soares to declare solidarity with India. “The public praise of Narendra Modi by the US and French presidents and the British Prime Minister has left some people reeling. What they want is a weak India. Smriti said that India will continue to oppose imperialist projects as before.

The Congress, which stated that it has no connection with Soros, also clarified that whether the Adani controversy will lead to the revival of democracy in India will depend on the Congress and other opposition parties.
