(Web Desk) Famous actors Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed‘s controversial Indian web series “Barzakh” has been removed from YouTube in Pakistan by the producers.
The producers of the web series “Barzakh,” made by Pakistani director Asim Abbasi for the Indian streaming website “Zee Five,” announced on social media last week that “Barzakh” would be removed from YouTube on August 9, after facing heavy criticism for its content. All six episodes were deleted from the YouTube channel of “Zee Zindagi” on the night of August 9 and 10.
The series was released on YouTube on July 19 and concluded on August 6. It faced severe criticism on social media for its depiction of homosexuality, obscenity, and child-related issues. Pakistani users and several showbiz personalities demanded a ban, while fashion designer Maria B expressed her disapproval. A ban petition was also filed with the PTA.
