Edmond Mulet, presidential candidate for the Cabal party, sparked controversy on social media by posting a video in which he mocks Carlos Pineda, representative of Prosperidad Ciudadana.

In the video, posted on TikTok, Mulet mocks the way Pineda delivered a speech during an event in Jalapa.
The video begins with an image of a baby getting hit in the head, followed by text stating “50 years later.” Next, a part of Pineda’s speech is heard in which he mentions: “We have broken the paradigm.”
Mulet intervenes correcting it: “Roto”, and Pineda’s voice is reproduced again, to which Mulet responds by saying: “It is said to be broken”, repeating it for the third time.
This exchange of words did not stop there. In another video, Mulet revealed that Pineda called him “old” again and suggested that he drink coffee to have energy. Given this, the Cabal candidate responded by challenging Pineda to a kayak session on Lake Atitlán next Saturday at 05:00 in the morning.
