Every year a greeting exchange ceremony is held at the President’s office at Banga Bhavan on the occasion of Autumn Durgotsava and Vijaya Dashami celebrations. For this, a list of names of Hindu joint secretaries or equivalent and above officials working in Dhaka under the textile and jute ministry was requested. In view of the letter sent by the President’s office, the Ministry of Textiles and Jute sincerely regrets the confusion caused by not mentioning the issue of exchange of greetings to be held at Bangabhaban on the occasion of Sharadiya Durgotsava and Vijaya Dashami 2024 in the letter sent to the office/organization of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. Textiles and Jute Ministry has already formed an inquiry committee against those involved in this process.

Incidentally, a controversy arose over the letter issued on August 27 from the Ministry of Textiles and Jute seeking the list of Hindu officials. For what reason this list was requested, the news was published in various domestic and foreign media about its purpose. In view of which this ministry has again issued a letter with amendments today.
