In this regard, Nayanagar Police Station Officer said: In connection with the Annapurani film issue, 8 accused including actress Nayantara and producer have been booked under Indian Penal Code Sections 153-A (inciting communal enmity), 295-A (intentionally offending religious sentiments), 505 (2) ( He said that a case has been registered under the Crimes in Places of Worship).

It is noted that two cases have already been registered in Mumbai Police Station and Lokmanya Tilak Police Station regarding this issue.
