Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, accused Minister Udayanidhi of attempting to disrupt religious harmony and win elections. He demanded an apology from Udayanidhi to the nation. In contrast, senior Congress leader KC Venugopal emphasized the importance of respecting all religions and maintaining a Samadharma society.
Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh questioned the silence of Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Khelat, regarding the controversial remarks. Singh called on alliance parties to apologize for their criticism of Sanathana, warning that failure to do so would not be forgiven by the country.
