This Thursday (10), the Civil Police arrested a 66-year-old man, convicted of rape of a vulnerable person, which took place in the city of Americana, in the state of São Paulo, in 2019. The man was found in the home of relatives, in the Jardim Paineiras neighborhood, in Três Lagoas, 338 km from the capital.
According to the Civil Police, the victim was a child, who at the time was 7 years old. After the end of the criminal proceedings, the man received a sentence of 25 years of imprisonment in a closed regime. The arrest warrant was issued less than 15 days ago.
After locating the individual at the residence of relatives, the Três Lagoas police team, through the GIS (Section of General Investigations), carried out the arrest and complied with the court order.
According to the Civil Police, he will remain in custody until his transfer to the state of São Paulo is arranged, where he will serve the sentence imposed by the prison system.
