Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia is strengthening.
As Day.Az reported on Tuesday with reference to Trend, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov said this today at the Azerbaijani-Slovak business forum taking place in Baku.
“In recent years, we have made significant efforts to strengthen our bilateral relations. Our legal framework has expanded, 11 documents have been signed between our countries. It is noteworthy that in October 2021 we signed an “Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Slovak Republic “covering a wide range of areas including industry, construction, transport, logistics, investment promotion, energy, mining, tourism, SMEs, enterprises and agriculture. This agreement has laid a strong foundation for our economic partnership,” he noted .
Jabbarov emphasized that a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement was signed in 2023, which is expected to come into force on January 1, 2025, which will further improve the conditions for doing business between countries.
“Currently, we are also considering the Joint Declaration on the Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Slovakia,” he added.
