Cooperation: the poster of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan visits the President of Faso

(Ouagadougou, September 12, 2024). The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, received in the audience, this Thursday, the poster of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elchin Oktyabr Oglu AMIRBAYOV, on a working visit to Burkina Faso.

The delegate of the President of Azerbaijan, AMIRBAYOV declared that his presence in Burkina Faso was “a beautiful country, a friendly country” as part of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

“It is a very opportune time to take an overview of our bilateral relationship in order to identify possible ways to advance this relationship which has many assets to take advantage of,” said the host of the Head of State.

He expressed that both countries confirmed during this audience that they wished to engage in this cooperation based on mutual respect and the preservation of common interests. “We discussed concrete areas where this cooperation could be beneficial for our two communities,” he said, citing among other areas of cooperation, energy, vocational education, the mining industry and humanitarian.

“Our country attaches great importance to its relations with African countries,” said Elchin Oktyabr Oglu AMIRBAYOV, who declared that Azerbaijan has established “strong” relations of cooperation and interaction with most African countries.
