The COP29 presidency team held meetings in Wuhan, China, with Brazil’s National Secretary for Climate Change Ana Toni and Australia’s Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen, Day.Az reports, citing a post by the COP29 presidency on the X social network.
“Azerbaijan’s COP29 presidency is in close partnership with Brazil, which will host COP30 in 2025. The COP Troika (including the UAE – COP28) ensures continuity and coherence between communities and provides momentum at this critical time for the world (climate change),” the statement said.
In addition, in Wuhan, at the Ministerial Conference on Climate Action (MoCA), the COP29 Presidency team met with Australian Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen to discuss current issues on the global agenda.
COP29 will be held from 11 to 22 November in Baku.
