COP29 will be an important platform for discussing and implementing advanced environmental solutions.
As reported on Thursday by Day.Az with reference to Trend, this was stated by the Special Envoy of the Netherlands for Water Resources, Meike van Ginneken, during a training session at ADA University.
Meike van Ginneken stressed the importance of international cooperation for sustainable water management.
“COP29 will be an important platform for discussing and implementing advanced environmental solutions. In addition, it is necessary to note the significant contribution of Azerbaijan to solving water problems and emphasize the importance of continuing joint work in this area,” she noted.
According to her, the Netherlands is ready to work with the government of Azerbaijan to ensure the success of the climate conference.
“We must focus on both climate change mitigation and adaptation. Water plays a key role in this process. We can make water a key tool for climate change adaptation and will work with the Government of Azerbaijan and the Co-Chairs to ensure a successful COP29 in Baku,” she added.
