Sharjah: Sharjah’s environmental management company ‘Bea’ has been contracted to take care of the city, which is the next venue for the International Climate Change Summit (COP), where environmental issues are vociferous. An agreement was reached with a company called Green Planet for the environmental management of the Egyptian town of Sharm Al-Sheikh, which will be the venue for COP-27 in November. According to the agreement with the Egyptian company Green Planet, the service will be provided for 10 years before and after the summit. The responsibility to enhance the environment of Sharm Al-Sheikh, a resort town with modern facilities, will make ‘Bea’ world-class.

Green Planet has entered into an agreement with ‘Bea’ as a company specializing in environmental services. Keeping the city safe and clean by implementing the best waste management practices in the future. BIA’s responsibilities under the contract will include waste management infrastructure, efficient waste collection systems and recycling services. Khalid Al Huraymal, Chief Executive of ‘Bea’ Group, said that through its services, it aims to keep the city clean, protect the environment and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors. The companies also stated that they will use the latest standards for efficiency of services and waste management. There are plans to use radio-frequency identification system-linked waste bins and GPS-linked systems for this purpose. The ‘COP-27’ summit, attended by most of the heads of state, is being held at the International Convention Center in Sharm Al-Sheikh, a major tourist attraction.
