Copec announced the Migrating your key business infrastructure to the public cloudalong with the development of new technologies and services, which marked a milestone in the company’s strategy, thanks to the collaboration with Entel Digital.
This in the context of a current dynamic and increasingly competitive business scenario, where digitalization has become a fundamental component for progress.
The migration allowed you to take your SAP software to the cloud, which enables the firm to control its entire operationfrom the arrival of fuel by boat to distribution to dealers and stock management.
This work was carried out in about seven months, and included a joint effort that required meticulous planning and precise execution, since redefined the way the company interacts with its customers and manages its internal operations.
César Valdés, Technology Manager at Copec, explained that “we had already been reviewing our strategic plan and when we looked at the challenge of transformation, of establishing new businesses related to new energies and continuing to respond as a company to the promise of service, we had to have the capacity to provide flexibility in execution and innovation, much faster than what we were giving.”
When delving into the benefits of this migration, the executive added that “in infrastructure it is already we are at a level where we can execute with flexibility and scalabilitycontinue innovating in our Copec ERP and convert our service stations into logistics, last mile or electromobility points. It is a dream not only of multi-energy, but also of the country and the community”.
For his part, the Sales Manager of Entel Digital, Nicolás Goncalves, emphasized the relevance of this continuous collaboration: “For us it is very important to have an alliance with a company like Copec.”
“I think that for the country it is essential that two companies put sustainability in their strategic plan to contribute to the country and the communities where they are,” added Goncalves.
