(ANSA) – ROME, SEPTEMBER 17 – A special event dedicated to Francis Ford Coppola is the pre-opening of the Rome Film Fest and Alice nella città On Monday, October 14, the Cinecittà Studios, thanks to the Ministry of Culture, will host the Italian preview of Megalopolis: the director will introduce the screening. The event will be broadcast live streaming in the Sala Petrassi of the Auditorium Parco della Musica for the public and accredited attendees. On Tuesday, October 15, the Maestro will be the protagonist of a meeting with the juries of Alice nella città, students of film schools and the public at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. On Monday, October 14, the iconic Cinecittà Studios, thanks to the Ministry of Culture, will host the Italian preview of Megalopolis, the most recent work by maestro Francis Ford Coppola, the great director who created masterpieces such as The Godfather saga, Apocalypse Now and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The event is the pre-opening of the Rome Film Fest and Alice nella città 2024. Distributed in Italy by Tarak Ben Ammar’s Eagle Pictures, the film will be introduced by Coppola himself. The evening can also be followed via live streaming in the Sala Petrassi of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone to allow accredited attendees and the public of the Rome Film Fest to witness the launch of the new visionary fairy tale imagined by the director. During the evening at Cinecittà, a special tribute will be paid to the great Italian-American director who returns, after years, to the Roman Studios where he prepared some scenes for The Godfather Part III. The following day, Tuesday 15 October, Francis Ford Coppola will meet the juries of Alice nella città, students from film schools and the public at the Sala Sinopoli of the Auditorium Parco della Musica: during the meeting, organized by Alice nella città in collaboration with the Rome Film Fest, the director will retrace the more than sixty years of career that have made him one of the most important and celebrated Masters of the Seventh Art. On the same day, the Mayor of Rome Capital, Roberto Gualtieri, will receive Coppola in Campidoglio to dedicate a special tribute to him from the city. Megalopolis will be in theaters from October 16th distributed in Italy by Eagle Pictures.
