TI met atjana in autumn 1983 in Paris. We had both won the Look of the Year elite model competition. Our model agency Elite, especially our German booker Sabine, sent us together to casting appointments, so-called “go sees”.
In the industry, Tatjana and I were considered a bit too plush, too feminine, too curvy, so we were advised to lose weight as soon as possible. On top of that, we both had dark and slightly swollen circles under our eyes, much to the chagrin of our bookers who were busy getting our careers off the ground.
