Former target and dream of Corinthiansdefensive midfielder Gustavo Cuellar was announced this Tuesday as a new reinforcement for Al Shabab, from Saudi Arabia.
The midfielder signed a contract until 2026 after undergoing medical examinations at the Arab club’s facilities. He even participated in training with his new teammates this afternoon.

Corinthians is interested in hiring a steering wheel to be a starter and had Cuellar as a target. In view of this, the club turns its attention to the market in search of alternative names for the position. The club has already monitored names like Federico Redondo, from Argentinos Juniors, and Matheus Henrique, from Sassuoloas found out by Sports Gazette.
After formalizing a proposal to Al Hilal for Cuellar, Timão did not get a response, which cooled interest in the midfielder. Since then, he has been monitoring other names to bring in this transfer window. Until now, confirmed only Matías Rojas as a reinforcement for the sequence of the season.
