Corn rises in Chicago on dry US conditions By Reuters

CHICAGO (Reuters) – U.S. futures rose to nearly two-month highs on Monday as traders worried about disappointing weekend rains and dry conditions stressing crops in parts of the Middle Farm Belt. -West, analysts said.

Futures tracked corn, finding further support from rising tensions in the Black Sea region. Futures closed mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade, with close contracts falling on weak export demand and profit taking, while the outer months held on to modest gains.

Corn settled up 13 cents at $6.1725 a bushel after hitting 6.2375, the highest since April 21.

Wheat ended up 3.50 cents to $6.3375 a bushel. The July Soybean contract ended down 13.75 cents at $13.7275 a bushel.
