In Chennai, 96 people were diagnosed with corona infection yesterday while today 92 people have been confirmed infected.
As the incidence of corona in Tamil Nadu has come down drastically, the Department of Medicine and Public Welfare today released a report on the current situation.
Accordingly, 348 people have been diagnosed with the disease in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours. The total number of corona confirmed persons in the state has increased to 34 lakh 47 thousand 968.
In Chennai, 96 people were diagnosed with corona infection yesterday while today 92 people have been confirmed infected. In Coimbatore, 51 cases have been confirmed and in Chengalpattu 39 cases. New cases of single digits have been reported in 20 districts.
The number of people receiving treatment for corona has dropped from 5,745 to 5,066. Today, 1,025 people have been discharged after treatment in a single day. Thus the total number of people recovering from corona in Tamil Nadu has increased to 34 lakh 06 thousand 649.
Two people have died today from a corona virus infection. The death toll from the corona has risen to 38,006.
