Corona infection was confirmed in 2,296 people in Tamil Nadu today.
According to the Department of Public Welfare, 461 people were infected in Chennai, 432 in Coimbatore, 208 in Chengalpattu and 113 in Tirupur.

A further 8,229 were released from the corona infection and returned home today. The number of survivors so far has increased to 33,56,648. There are 41,699 people under medical supervision in hospitals and homes.
The death toll from the disease has risen to 37,915 in Tamil Nadu, with 11 more deaths due to corona infection.
