The music release ceremony of the film ‘Sometimes Some Men’, directed by Vishal Venkat and starring actor Ashok Selvan, was held today at the Vadapalani Kamala Theater in Chennai. The film’s producers Ajmal Khan, Riya and People’s Justice Center party leader actor Kamal Haasan, directors KS Ravikumar, Vetrimaran, Prabhu Salomon and actress Ritvika were present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, actor Kamal Haasan said, “People who spoke here said that they remember me whenever I cross the Alwarpet bus. I and many others, including Sivajiganesan, were the ones who marveled at the highest stars who lived in our time like this. The taste of cinema is like a fire burning in the mind. No one can achieve in cinema without curiosity and talent. Cinema has no caste or religion. Some will reject this view. I’m not worried though. We are the ones who ignore so much in arrogance. Do not let newcomers look at us and wonder. Discover our mistakes and do not do it yourself.
Composer Ratan told me that his mother never showed me a picture of him as a child. Usually kids would show the moon and feed him porridge, like I used to be like an animal to him (jokingly)! Music has no language difference. I think AR Rahman is one of the reasons why composer Ratan came to this stage.
