As many as 80,000 tourists are stuck in Sanya, an island region in southern China, unable to leave for the next week due to the spread of the virus.
The government has started to impose strict restrictions as the spread of corona virus has intensified in various provinces of China.
With 483 confirmed cases of infection in one day in Sanya, which is visited by lakhs of tourists, the government immediately imposed lockdown restrictions there.
Roundtrip travelers must undergo 5 covid tests within a week to ensure they are free of infection.
