Similarly, Merck’s Corona tablet has been approved for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Developed by Merck, also known as MST outside the United States and Canada, the tablet has been tested on 1,400 people. The test, which was performed within 5 days of the onset of corona symptoms, found a 30 percent reduction in hospitalizations and deaths in high-risk patients.
