Chennai: Corona infection has been confirmed in 11 more people at IIT Chennai today. This brings the total number of victims to 182.
The infection is being spread by northern students who came to study at IIT Chennai. This was followed by a corona test for everyone there. As of yesterday, 1676 people had been tested for corona. Of these, 182 have been confirmed infected so far. The incidence has risen from 171 yesterday to 182 today for a further 11 people. It is said that the test results of many more have not come.
Speaking to media persons, Health Secretary Radhakrishnan said that no one at IIT has been diagnosed with a new type of coronavirus infection so far and those receiving treatment are recovering quickly and coronavirus prevention measures have been intensified across IITs.
