jpnn.comJAKARTA – Director General (Dirjen) of Manpower Placement Development (Binapenta) of the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) for the period 2011-2015 Reyna Usman was sentenced to prison for four years and eight months in connection with the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the Indonesian worker protection system (TKI) in Ministry of Manpower in 2012.

Public prosecutor for the Corruption Eradication Commission (JPU KPK) Sisca Carolina Karubun assessed that Reyna was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption.

“As regulated and subject to criminal penalties in Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code,” said the prosecutor at the trial for reading the charges at the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor) Jakarta, Tuesday.

Apart from imprisonment, the public prosecutor also demanded that the former chairman of the Bali PKB DPD be sentenced to a fine of IDR 250 million with the provision that if the fine is not paid, it will be replaced by imprisonment for 3 months.

Muhaimin Iskandar’s former subordinate when he was Minister of Manpower was also required to be given an additional penalty of Rp. 3 billion, a subsidiary of the replacement penalty for a year.

In filing the charges, the prosecutor considered several aggravating factors, namely Reyna’s actions in not supporting the government’s program in eradicating criminal acts of corruption and not being frank in giving testimony at the trial.

On the other hand, things that mitigated the charges were also taken into consideration, namely that Reyna had family responsibilities and had never been convicted.

Along with Reyna, there are two other defendants who are holding a prosecution trial in the same case, namely the official who made the commitment (PPK) for the procurement of the TKI protection system in 2012, I Nyoman Darmanta, and the Director of PT Adi Inti Mandiri (AIM) Karunia. I Nyoman Darmanta has been charged criminally. prison for 2 years and 10 months and a fine of Rp. 250 million, subsidiary to 3 months, while Kurnia was sentenced to 5 years and 3 months in prison and a fine of Rp. 250 million, subsidiary to 3 months, as well as compensation of Rp. 8.44 billion, subsidiary to 1 year in prison.
