This exhibition is dedicated to the pioneering generation of contemporary sculptors, most of whom were contemporary with Camille Claudel (1864-1943). The exhibition recovers other forgotten artists, who won prizes and were recognized in their own time, and restores them to their place in history. It is also the first performance of Camille Claudel in Poland. Today the most recognizable sculptor of the 19th century, who entered popular culture thanks to films and books, Claudel received recognition only posthumously.
