Cosco Shipping Lines has launched the new Turkey Spain Morocco Express service during the second week of August, which will link the Spanish ports of Barcelona and Valencia with Greece and Turkey and also with the Port of Casablanca (Morocco).

Specifically, the rotation of this service will begin in Piraeus and then reach Thessaloniki, SafiPort, Gemlik and Aliaga, before returning to Piraeus, from where it will depart again for Valencia, Casablanca, Algeciras and Barcelona, ​​to finally return to the Greek enclave of Piraeus.

The new route is completed in a transit time of three days between Barcelona and Piraeus. In addition, it is completed with the variety of destinations that the shipping company has to offer from this Greek port, the company’s hub with continental Europe, as well as the Middle and Far East.

It is worth mentioning that from the Port of Valencia, the service also provides express connections with Casablanca, with a transit time of one day. Likewise, three of the four container ships that operate this connection belong to the Diamond Line shipping company. Basically, the service will begin to work in the middle of August with the ‘Delphis Gdansk’, of Diamond Line.

Regarding the activity of the Spanish enclaves, the Port of Barcelona has managed to handle a total of 38 million tons of merchandise up to the month of July. Among the most notable types of cargo is the increase in new vehicle traffic, which has registered a total of 482,904 units, marking a large increase of 67.4%.
