Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong’s international airline, announced today the appointment of Cosima Watkins (Cosima Watkins) to the operations manager in Israel and within this framework – will be responsible for the commercial and operational activities in Israel, while focusing on providing world-class service to Israeli customers and connecting them to the most important people and places.
Cosima Watkins joined Cathay Pacific in 2019, and in her previous role she led projects in the field of sales and distribution, focusing on global sales strategy. Cosima graduated cum laude with a master’s degree in international and Chinese business from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
Commenting on Ms. Watkins’ appointment, Kinto Chan, Managing Director of Cathay Pacific’s European Region, said: “Cathay Pacific has provided continuous essential aviation services between East Asia and Israel throughout the pandemic. The appointment of Cosima as the director of operations in Israel to lead our wonderful Israeli team re-emphasizes the importance we attach to the Israeli market. We will connect Tel Aviv with major cities in East Asia via Hong Kong three times a week starting in October. Cathay Pacific will continue to build momentum in Israel. Cosima’s new role will be critical in leading this trajectory upwards.’
Cathay Pacific recently announced an increase in the frequency of its flights to and from Israel. As of October 2nd, the winter schedule shows 3 flights per week between Ben Gurion Airport and Hong Kong International Airport. The flights will take place on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and will allow onward flights to destinations such as Bangkok, Manila, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, and Sydney.
