Awaji Island Resort Launches “Empty-Handed Cosplay” Package for World Cosplay Summit Attendees

A new hospitality offering aims to streamline the experience for cosplayers attending the “Awaji Island COSPLAY Powered by World Cosplay Summit” event, removing the logistical burdens of transporting elaborate costumes and props.

The GRAND CHARIOT Big Dipper 135° resort on Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture, will provide a special “empty-handed cosplay” stay for guests checking in on Friday, December 19th, and Saturday, December 20th, 2025, coinciding with the popular cosplay event. This innovative package is designed to alleviate the common challenges faced by cosplayers – namely, transportation, luggage management, and pre-event planning.

Streamlining the cosplay Experience

  • Advance Baggage Collection: Guests can ship their costumes, wigs, and props directly to the hotel prior to arrival.Upon check-in, these items will be delivered to their rooms. Following the event, the hotel will handle the return shipping of all cosplay materials, enabling a comfortable and hassle-free departure.
  • Convenient Park Access: The service offers convenient access to various areas within Nijigen no Mori Anime Awajishima Park,including the large lawn area and themed zones dedicated to popular franchises like “Crayon Shin-chan,” “NARUTO & BORUTO,” and “Godzilla Interception Operation.” Participants will avoid the need to navigate the event grounds in full costume while transporting their belongings.
  • Private Changing Rooms: Guests will have access to private changing rooms equipped with skylights, providing a comfortable space for makeup submission and costume adjustments.
  • Shuttle Service: A shuttle service will then transport them directly to the event venue.
