The Agudat Yisrael Council of Torah Scholars convened yesterday in Jerusalem to discuss ways to strengthen Torah and Judaism in the face of current affairs, and against the background of the collapse of the malicious government whose focus was on harming all the sacred and precious, Torah and scholars and the sustaining public.
The Council of Torah Scholars instructed to fortify the Torah halls with the addition of diligence in Oriya on Shabbat evenings and of course on Shabbat itself. The yeshiva stated that it was the government that harmed the sanctity of the Sabbath, the walls of the people of Israel in matters of reforms and conversion, kosherness, education, Torah study of the yeshiva members, the wall of caution of the children of Israel from all evil, its damage to the kosher cell phone.
A government that has blatantly harassed the public learns and keeps the Torah, in targeted decrees on the cost of earning a living in the designated draconian taxes imposed, harming the ultra-Orthodox’s livelihood options, including by deciding on dormitories, curbing the ultra-Orthodox public’s ability to reach shelter, and this is just part of the list.
“It is good and blessed that this government, which had no rights to exist, is dispersing and leaving the helm of state administration,” Agudat Israel said last night. “Hope for God that we will be led by the Holy Land through our righteous Messiah, but also until his coming, that there will be a government that respects the sanctity of Israel and the study of the Torah and treats the Torah-observant citizens fairly.”
The Council of Torah Scholars paid tribute to the representatives of Agudat Israel in the Knesset, who worked tirelessly against the decrees and saw more than once great success. In their struggle they were also part of the move that led to the collapse of the terrible and harmful government.

There is a lot of work ahead of them, to repeal the decrees of this evil government, and to bring in their place good and positive actions for the sanctity of Israel and the rights of the ultra-Orthodox public.
The Council of Torah Scholars instructed the leaders of Agudat Yisrael and its activists to make every effort to locate individuals and audiences and persuade them to vote for Torah Judaism, in order to prevent a recurrence of indifference and coldness that led to the establishment of a malicious government.
The Council of Torah Scholars congratulated the outgoing guard of Agudat Israel’s representatives in the Knesset, Yaakov Litzman. A special greeting was dedicated to the incoming guard, Yitzhak Goldknoff. A great blessing was attached to the incoming MK, Yaakov Tessler, who returns to his tasks from the time he was already in the Knesset, as a multi-active union representative, to stand on the walls of Israel’s sanctity and the trampled rights of the ultra-Orthodox public.
