All members of the Council of Torah Scholars of Degel HaTorah signed a scathing letter entitled “Holy Calling on the Pure Education Guard” against educational frameworks known as “State Haredi” or in the vernacular.
A letter published this morning (Friday) states that they have already warned the great men of Israel, headed by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Grail Steinman Zatzokal, about the danger of a framework called a state-owned ultra-Orthodox, etc., which leads to spiritual deterioration
“And as the great men of Israel wrote: We must stand as a wall in a way that does not change from what it has been to this day and not to be tempted by their words and promises, which is the responsibility of who will direct us in any provision at all.”
Their letter concludes: “And in Gaza we will continue in the tradition of education as it was without any change until the coming of the Redeemer of Justice.”
The letter is signed by the great men of Israel, headed by the Minister of Torah, Gerach Kanievsky, the Rosh Yeshiva Hagarig Edelstein, as well as the members of the council: Gerbam Ezrachi, Geramatz Bergman, Gerbad Povarsky, Geramah Hirsch, Geramim Schlesinger, Hagar Zilberstein, Rabbi Adas, Rabbi Cohen, Rabbi Darbkin, Rabbi Haker, Rabbi Levy, Rabbi Pilz, Rabbi Weisbecker, Rabbi Kook, Rabbi Steinman and Rabbi Finkel.
The letter is a direct continuation of a gathering held in the month of Tevet at the residence of Rosh Yeshiva Hagarig Edelstein, where the great men of Israel and the heads of the yeshivas came out sharply against the MMAH.

“Education as it was”? Since when is it. Since 5733, the independent education firm was established, from which strong ultra-Orthodox people eat at the expense of the students and most of the grandchildren of the council members do not study there. The past month has been tumultuous and its educational challenges have crossed all age and public avenues.
The shocks in the education of the children will accompany us for quite some time, and will require all of us, and first and foremost from the leaders of the public, a great effort to stabilize the ship.
