Councilor Gisèle Mambre: ‘If people choose you, you must also take that responsibility’

Gisèle has always been politically active, but has been a list pusher of GroenLinks in Eindhoven for several years now. “For me, speaking out means that I stand for this party. That people who know me know what I stand for and might be able to persuade them to vote for the party. Being on that list shows that you are more than others, because everyone can of course tell how good a party is.”

She never expected that she would actually be elected as a council member. “I had to sleep on it for a night when I finally heard it. If people have chosen you, you have to take that responsibility too.”
