Coastal: ADMK councilors walked out of a corporation meeting condemning the transfer of Coastal Corporation bus stand to M.Pudur.
The Coastal Corporation meeting was chaired by Mayor Sundari. Commissioner Viswanathan and Deputy Mayor Thamaraichelvan presided over the meeting.
An attempt is being made to set up a temporary garbage depot in the Tsunami Nagar area to dump the garbage collected in the Corporation area. “If there is a garbage dump, people will suffer more.”
The DMK councilor further said, “The city will prosper if the coastal bus stand is shifted to M.Pudur.” Councilors Sangeetha Vasantharaj, Tashna, Vinodkumar, Paranimurugan, Alamelu and Sureshkumar walked out.
Then, BJP, Councilor Sakthivel said, ‘Children are suffering due to garbage being dumped near the Anganwadi Center in their area. Saying that, he walked out.
