Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan, advisor in charge of the Ministry of Railways, has sought the German government’s support in supplying locomotives and carriages to Bangladesh and increasing the use of renewable energy.

On Tuesday (September 17), German Ambassador to Dhaka Akhim Troster paid a courtesy call on Advisor Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan at Railpath Bhawan. At this time, the adviser wants this cooperation.

During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated Fawzul Kabir Khan on his appointment as an advisor to the Interim Government.

Fawzul Kabir said at this time that the present government is working to fulfill the expectations of the people. Prevention of corruption, establishment of good governance, reduction of suffering of people and fulfillment of public expectations are the main goals of this government.

The Ambassador discussed with the German Railways Department and assured necessary cooperation in supply of locomotives and carriages to Bangladesh.

He said that the process of signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Bangladesh and German governments to increase the use of renewable energy is underway. The ambassador mentioned that if this MoU is signed, necessary financial, technical and policy support will be provided.

At this time, Secretary of Railway Ministry Abdul Baki and Director General of Bangladesh Railway Sardar Shahadat Ali were present.
