Environment, Urban Planning and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum answered journalists’ questions today at the Istanbul International Finance Center.
Regarding the center, which will be opened on April 17, Minister Kurum said, “Finance companies will serve in these offices. The heart of finance will beat here in the financial center. The investment value of this project has reached 65 billion liras. We are talking about an area that will host 100 thousand people. With the honor of our President, we will open this giant work together.” said.
The institution later said that İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu said, “Mr. Minister states that he will do the urban transformation in Istanbul in 5 years. Did anyone hold your hand, so I’m wondering. For God’s sake, you have all the powers from A to Z. Where have you been for the last 21 years? The words “If it would be over in 5 years” were asked.
The Minister replied to this question with the following expressions: “Ekrem Bey’s work is polemic. They are always doing the politics of being blocked. There are those who do not let us do business. On the one hand, there are those who put a will for the transformation of 1 and a half million residences for Istanbul for its citizens. We will announce on the first day of the holiday in Istanbul, there are those who put a will on the other hand, there are those who cannot build 1500 houses in 5 years. Let them work for the problems of Istanbul. Let his works speak, not himself.”
