After the success of the zero edition of 2022, the “Manibus” project becomes even bigger and becomes the Manibus International Prize, under the guidance of artistic director Nicola Miulli. The event will reward the excellence of craftsmanship, national and international, and the big names linked to the valorization of culture and “made in Italy”. The awards ceremony, produced by Nicola Miulli Creations co-financed by the Puglia Region and the Pugliapromozione Regional Tourism Agency and with the contribution of the Puglia Regional Museums Directorate, will be held on October 14th at 6.30 pm at the Carlo V Castle in Lecce.
Once the awards evening has concluded, from 14 October to 19 November the Castle will host the large collective exhibition “Volumi di carta”. The exhibition presents three-dimensional works in paper, created by 4 artists with prestigious CVs – Caterina Crepax, Daniele Papuli, Perino&Vele, Anila Rubiku – who use this material in an original and fascinating way. Their works attest to the undoubted ability of a material, born about 2000 years ago in China, to be ductile, effective and refined artistic medium.
