The 2024 Mexico City Marathon is just 18 days away, and the organizers have announced that registration is now closed.
The annual event, which will be in its 41st edition this year, is expected to attract 30,000 runners from both Mexico and abroad.
The marathon will take place on Sunday, August 25, with a 42-kilometer route starting from the Olympic University Stadium and finishing at the Plinth in Mexico City.
According to the Mexico City Sports Institute (Indeporte), at least 540 international runners from 32 countries have already registered for the race, making it a tradition.
The marathon will be divided into six blocks, with the first block consisting of wheelchair users and visually impaired runners, who will start at 5:45 a.m.
Registration for the general public is open until August 21st through the internet or until registrations are sold out. You can also register in person at the Expo Marathon on Saturday 24th.
