Following the United States, countries including Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom have announced that they will not be sending government officials to the Winter Olympics, only athletes.
In this context, China has condemned the United States for politicizing the Olympics by blaming them in vain, and has warned that countries boycotting the Games could face dire consequences.
