Couple falls from a balcony in Ibiza. There is a fear of a case of femicide-suicide

Time.news – The death of a young couple after one falling from a balcony in Ibiza would be a case of femicide-suicide and not an accident. This is the crime hypothesis the police are investigating, according to the Spanish press.

The lifeless bodies of the two tourists, a 21-year-old with dual Italian and Spanish nationality and a 26-year-old Moroccan national, were found on the cobbles near a hotel in the Platja d’en Bossa area.

According to the agents, the findings and testimonies suggest that the man pushed the woman off the balcony during an altercation and then he threw himself into the void in turn to take his own life. Some witnesses, writes El Litoral, reported a violent argument between the two shortly before their death, which took place around 4:30 in the morning.

The doctors who intervened on the spot could not help but ascertain the death of the two young people, as a result of a fall from the fourth floor.

It would therefore not be a new case of ‘balconing’, the term with which the dangerous custom of jumping from the balcony to reach another balcony or a swimming pool below is defined. In Spain, thanks to emulation and the state of intoxication, in recent years dozens of tourists have died after trying their hand at ‘balconing’.
