Salem: A graduate couple, who are giving ‘life’ to cows abandoned by breeders by establishing a Kosala, are giving the milk they get free of cost to children up to one year old.

At present, native cows including Bunkanur Kuttai, Umpalachery, Mailai, Kangeyam, Thanjavur Kuttai, Malai Nathu Kuttai, Redchindi, Sagiwal are maintained.
35 thousand rupees are spent daily on its maintenance alone. 15 people are working continuously. Gosala maintenance management is done by Shriram and Kumudavalli.
They sell cow dung and cow dung for administrative expenses and provide 15 liters of milk from cows in the morning and evening to the elderly and children of the area free of charge.

Due to this, the couple is stuck in the maintenance. Among the cows cared for by them, they have buried more than 80 cows near Kosala, which died due to disease or old age.
Shriram said about Gosalai: We created Gosalai with the inspiration to do something for the society to protect the country’s cow breeds. First, we started with 5 cows. Currently, there are 115 cows and 22 calves. We continue the service with the participation of people and spiritual friends. If you want to donate cows to Gosala or offer fodder, we will accept it.
