Presnensky District Court on Thursday, December 9, arrested former serviceman Sergei Glazov, accused of killing two people in the MFC in the southeast of Moscow. This was reported by the press service of the court.
“The court granted the request of the investigation and chose the accused Glazov a measure of restraint in the form of detention for two months, until February 7, 2022,” the message says.
According to Glazov’s lawyer, the man repents of his deed and does not want to appeal against the measure of restraint in the form of arrest. According to him, Glazov did not prepare for the crime in advance, adds Gazeta.RU.
The man was charged under three articles of the Criminal Code: murder of two or more persons committed in a generally dangerous way, attempted murder of two or more persons in a generally dangerous way, including a minor, and arms trafficking.
The shooting took place on December 7. As a result of the accident, two people died, both were MFC employees, four more, including a 10-year-old child, were injured. Doctors successfully operated on the girl.
The Public Monitoring Commission clarified that the conflict occurred due to the fact that Glazov refused to wear a mask. In addition, according to the POC, the man was dismissed from service with the rank of lieutenant colonel in 2009, then he refused to surrender his weapon.
According to eyewitnesses, at the MFC Glazov behaved inappropriately, made loud statements about the end of the world and called the coronavirus pandemic a world conspiracy.
At the same time, the attacker had about 3 million rubles with him. It is also known that a pistol with the ISSCM22 Austria marking, cartridges, three gas canisters and other elements were seized at the scene of the incident.
The gunman was neutralized by senior police lieutenant Georgy Domolaev, who was at the workplace without a weapon. Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev decided to nominate him for a state award.
On December 8, Glazov pleaded guilty to the murder.
