A Justice from Sao Paulo ordered the preventive detention of Marcelo Berlinck Mariano Costa ( 31 years old), CAC ( Collector, sports shooter and hunter) . The trial does not yet record the appointment of a lawyer for his defense.
Costa was arrested on Friday evening (6) after firing shots into the roof of a building located in Joaquim Antunes Street in the neighborhood of Pines , west area of Sao Paulo .
History of the shooter
According to the court’s eviction decision, the killer was expected to vacate the property in September. He had been accumulating rent and condominium debts since June, for a total of R$6,600 per month. The property owner asked the Court to pay R$60,000 for losses resulting from the default.
Marcelo Costa is also a formal partner of wise assessores de Investimentos S/S Ltda., despite not having worked at the company since February, according to officials. The company explained that its membership is a regulatory requirement, but legal steps are underway to formalize its exclusion.
the police approach came after ROTA officers identified the property from which the shots were fired. Costa disobeyed the order to surrender and shot towards the door, also hitting the doors of two other nearby apartments.
Faced with resistance, the Gate (Special tactical Action Group) was called in and used grenades to force entry into the property. Costa was arrested with the help of a police dog,suffering bruises to his left arm,and taken to hospital,were he remains under guard.
While inspecting the apartment, police found an arsenal that included a rifle, two carbines, a grenade and more than 350 rounds of ammunition of different calibers. Rifle magazines,bulletproof vests and other weapons were also seized. A substance suspected of being cocaine was found at the scene and will undergo forensic testing.
