Bangladesh National Parliament Speaker Dr. Iwama Kiminori, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh, had a courtesy call on Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury.
The ambassador visited the Speaker’s residence on Thursday (July 11). In the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues including the Parliamentary Alliance Group.
Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said that the parliamentary alliance group can play a role in strengthening the bilateral friendly relations between Bangladesh and Japan.
The Speaker said that the Parliamentary Alliance Group is being formed for the 12th National Parliament as well as the 11th National Parliament. He said that measures should be taken to organize the meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Parliament with the Japanese Parliamentary Alliance Group.
For the fourth time as the Speaker of the National Parliament of Bangladesh, Dr. Ambassador Iwama Kiminori congratulated Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury.
The ambassador said that the parliamentary alliance group consisting of representatives of Japanese political parties and senior officials of various ministries will visit Bangladesh National Parliament and participate in the meeting on July 31.
At that time, the special assistant of the ambassador and the related senior officials of the National Parliament Secretariat were present.
