The Premier League continues to deliver intriguing battles, with Manchester United currently hosting Aston Villa in the 22nd round. The Red Devils are trying to beat the opponent for the second time in a row, after defeating them earlier this week 0: 1 in the cup.
Ralph Rangnick’s side are in a bad period in the league, with one win in the last three rounds. In their last league game, the Red Devils lost 1-0 to Wolves at Old Trafford, and now they are trying to recover in order to fight back at the top.
On the other hand, Steven Gerrard’s team was strengthened this week by Filippa Coutinho and Luca Dean, who came from Barcelona and Everton respectively. The two of course did not play in the loss at Old Trafford. Gerard has also lost in his last two league games, 3-1 to Chelsea and 2-1 to Brentford.
In the first round, the meeting between the teams ended in a surprising 0: 1 to Aston Villa at Old Trafford. Before that, the Red Devils defeated the opponent twice in the league in 2021, 1: 2 at home in February and 1: 3 away last May. And how will it end this time?
