BOLZANO. South Tyrol records 15 new cases of the South African variant.
The area of Merano and surroundings, Val Passiria and Val Venosta are affected.
However, three new municipalities are added: Glorenza, Tubre and Lagundo.
Contact tracing is currently underway to verify if and how the new cases are related to known cases, informs the Health Authority.
Overall, 49 cases of the South African variant have been detected in South Tyrol to date. The affected municipalities are isolated and entry and exit can only take place with a negative swab not older than 72 hours.
