It has been confirmed today that 36 deaths in the last few days were due to Kovid-19. In addition, 347 deaths have been reported which have been appealed by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 45,538.

As per today’s report, 2767 out of 3205 new patients were eligible for vaccination. Of these, 243 received one dose of vaccine and 1664 received two doses of the vaccine. During the period from December 15 to 21, out of an average of 31,591 cases treated, only 1.9 per cent required oxygen beds and only 1.7 per cent needed ICUs. During this period, there were approximately 4411 fewer reported new cases compared to the previous week. The growth rate of new cases has decreased by 17% compared to the previous week. The number of patients currently being diagnosed and treated in hospitals, field hospitals, ICUs, ventilators and oxygen beds decreased by 18%, 12%, 31%, 8%, 1% and 19% respectively this week compared to the previous week. Hospitalization rates and serious cases show a declining trend.
